Meat Hunts – Whitetail Doe & Management Bucks

2017 - 2018 Texas Whitetail Hunting Season: Archery season begins September 3 - November 3, 2017

Rifle season runs November 4, 2017 to January 21, 2018

Special Late Season run January 22, 2018 to February 4, 2018

Loma de Cometa Ranch offers whitetail meat hunts to fill your freezer and offer you an exciting and pleasurable experience on our 1100 acre ranch. You will see a wide variety of animals while staying and hunting at Cometa including Whitetail Bucks, Oryx, Axis, Black Buck, Eland, Fallow, Pere David, Barasingha, Red Deer, Elk, Sika, and Zebra.

While hunting for whitetail doe we do not require a guide to be with you on your hunt, we do require a guide to be with you when shooting the cull bucks and eight pointers.

Our ranch has high quality and comfortable blinds. We also can hunt Safari style from one of our jeeps or custom hunting trucks.

Standard hunt packages are 3 days & 2 nights  
2 - Whitetail Doe $600.00 (Minimum of 8 doe if no bucks or exotics are booked)
1 - Whitetail Doe & 1 Management Buck $1,300.00 (Minimum of two to be booked)

*Management Bucks: Cometa ranch considers deer of 1 ½ years of age or older to be a management buck if it is still a spike or if 3 ½ years and older and under 120”. All cull bucks will be shot with the supervision of a guide, if a mistake is made on the guide’s behalf no additional charges will be required.

Guide Gratuities not included, but are appreciated.

Non-Hunting guests are welcome to accompany the hunter for an additional $100 per night.

There is a 50% deposit required based on the hunt package you choose to reserve this hunt.

Hunting Package includes:

  • 3 days / 2 nights Lodging
  • Shooting of any coyotes you see, and 2 Javelina
  • Field dressing of your kill
  • Mid-day catch and release fishing at one of our stocked ponds
